AMRITSAR SAHIB—In the blasphemous case of the distorting of the Sikh Ardas (Prayer) by a Hindu group in the presence of Akali minister Sikandar Maluka, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedars have summoned Maluka and two others, namely, Major Singh (current SGPC member) and Satnam Singh (former SGPC member).
The trio have been asked to appear before the temporal Sikh Instituion of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on January 9 by the interim Akal Takht Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand, Jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal and Jathedar Amrik Singh Ajnala.
The Jathedars have also summoned Satnam Singh Pipli Wala for distorting Sikh history and using objectionable language about Mata Gujar Kaur Ji.
Sikh24 has learnt that the Takht Jathedars have also constituted a four member committee headed by SGPC’s executive member Surjit Singh Kalaboola to probe both cases further. The investigation team will submit its report to Takht Jathedars.
Sikhs of the village of Salana, in Amloh, burned an effigy of Akali cabinet minister Sikandar Maluka outside the bus stand cross-road on December 30.
Loudly shouting anti-Badal and anti-Maluka slogans, the Sikh activists sought the excommunication of Sikandar Maluka. Notably, Punjab Cabinet Minister Sikandar Maluka had outraged the Sikh masses by getting the beadbi done by Hindu fanatics in an inauguration program of his election office in Rampura Phool.
Leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Bhai Lakhbir Singh Khalsa said that the blasphemous act of distorting the Sikh ardas by Hindu fanatics in the presence of Akali minister Sikandar Maluka was unforgiveable. He appealed to the Sabart Khalsa ordained Jathedars to consider the incident and excommunicate Maluka from Sikh community at the earliest.
Bhal Lakhbir Singh Khalsa also appealed the Sikh masses of Rampura Phool to boycott Maluka in due assembly polls of 2017 and get him ousted from the Punjab politics.
