MANSA, Punjab (September 9, 2014)—The court has extended the judicial remand of Sikh preacher Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal who was arrested by the police on August 22. He was arrested in a number of cases that had been pending for a long time.
His 12-day judicial remand had expired this past week.
The Faridkot police produced him in the court of Magistrate Satish Kumar, who extended Baba Daduwal’s judicial remand for 14 days.
Two days after he was arrested by the Faridkot police for allegedly possessing illegal firearms, Baba Daduwal was sent to judicial custody in a five-year-old attempt to murder case.
