CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A sleazy video of Akali MP Sher Singh Ghubaya went viral on January 27 in which he could be seen in an intimate position with a woman other than his wife. It could be easily judged that the video has been shot with hidden camera and it is being speculated that the woman in the video is staff member of an Engineering College owned by Ghubaya.
The video was uploaded on YouTube from an account named ‘Rangla Punjab’ and sponsored to make it reach to maximum people in Punjab. The video was reportedly removed from the source account by YouTube authorities for violating the terms & conditions of website. The video had gained more than 14,000 views within 24 hours of its publishing.
Sher Singh Ghubaya is a ruling Shiromani Akali Dal’s Parliament member from Ferozepur constituency. His relations with SAD’s core leadership had attained bitterness when his son joined Congress and was given ticket by Congress from Fazilka constituency.
Meanwhile, Sher Singh Ghubaya has claimed that the video was fabricated and hold the Shiromani Akali Dal’s president Sukhbir Badal responsible for this. He said that Sukhbir Badal was trying to politically assassinate.
Senior Congress leader Ravneet Singh Bittu has also favoured Ghubaya and has sought probe of video by a Parliament committee from Union government of India.
It is learnt that the Sher Singh Ghubaya came under ruling SAD’s scanner when he openly started campaigning in favour of his son who is contesting election on Congress’ ticket from Fazilka constituency. Earlier, Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal had also said that Sher Singh Ghubaya was free to quit Shiromani Akali Dal which indicates that the core committee of SAD had prepared itself to tackle loss of Ghubaya by politically murdering him.
