LAMBI, Punjab—Poising itself to oust the current Chief Minister of Punjab, Parkash Badal from Punjab politics, the debutant Aam Admi Party has begun preparations to field it’s Co-Incharge in Punjab, Jarnail Singh, for the assembly constituency of Lambi. Jarnail Singh has removed his voters registry from Delhi and has submitted his application for Lambi, CM Badal’s home turf. 
Sources have revealed that the AAP has also begun campaigning for the election in Lambi constituency by beginning to paste of posters in favour of Jarnail Singh. The posters have been designed to project Jarnail Singh as ‘Jarnail (General) of Punjab’, whilst attacking rival Parkash Badal with the wording ‘Badal Nhi Badlaa’.
Speaking with Sikh24, Jarnail Singh said that the party’s instructions were more important to him than the membership of legislative assembly of Delhi.
Meanwhile, the AAP’s national convener Sri Arvind Kejriwal has warmly welcomed the prompt activation of the election code of conduct by the Election Commission. He has said that the Punjab masses were keenly waiting for the imposition of the poll code and now they will be able to openly campaign in favour of the AAP.
