PUNJAB, India— At the behest of the government, the Punjab Police have arrested Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala and other prominent Sikh figures just two days before a large protest (‘rosse’ majara) was to take place on the 17th, as Sikhs planned to express anger at yet at further malicious desecration of sacred Gutka Sahibs.
Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala (ex-hazoori Ragi of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar – dismissed by the SGPC due to being outspoken against Badal government’s underhanded control of SGPC) was arrested along with Bhai Ram Singh, Gurdeep Singh (Sarbat Khalsa 2015 organizer), Bhai Mohkam Singh (SK2015 organizer) and many other Sikh figures.
