The Nihang Singhs attacked the culprits as soon as they entered the Tehsil complex, which was under the security of SHO Mukhtiar Singh. The culprits evaded the attack by immediately moving inside the courtroom, however a police officer was injured and later taken to hospital for a check up.  His condition was later declared stable.

The Nihang Singhs were later calmed down by the police, who had to call for backup.

The police demanded more remand time for the culprits and the court allowed 4  more days of remand.  Now, they will be presented before the court again on March 18.  Police stated that they needed to carry further investigations in the case.

Bhai Balbir Singh Khalsa of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee, Bhai Sukhdev Singh Gaggad Bhana and other Sikh activists were also present.
