AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Talking with Sikh24 earlier today, former General Secretary Jathedar Sukhdev Singh Bhaur informed that he has urged Avtar Makkar to reconsider his decision of suspending ‘Punj Piare’.
He lashed out at the appointed Takht Jathedars, and said that had the Jathedars felt the Sikh sentiments; the situation would not have gone so far. He advised the Jathedars to carefully consider the Sikh customs while making any decision.
Expressing pain over current situation of Sikhs, he said that the Government is beating, injuring and martyring the Sikhs instead of delivering justice in Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s sacrilege cases.
Sukhdev Singh Bhaur resigned from his post of General Secretary of the SGPC this past week as a protest against sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.
