LUDHIANA, Punjab—Ludhiana police today arrested MLA Balwinder Singh Bains and around ten of his accompanies at 10 am from Ludhiana. It is notable that along with Balwinder Singh, his brother had announced to besiege Chief Minister Parkash Badal’s residence in Chandigarh. Advertisements about this were published in some vernacular Punjabi newspapers of Punjab.
However, MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains managed to escape from the spot dodging the police contingents. Sikh24 has learnt that the Police continuously followed them and police check-ins were installed at multiple locations on Ludhiana-Chandigarh road.
Bains brothers are rebel Akali MLAs who decided to leave Badal’s outfit over differences. They are well known in Ludhiana.
