AMRITSAR SAHIB (June 22, 2015)—The Amritsar Central Jail authorities have allowed homemade food for Prof. Davenderpal Singh Bhullar. Authorities are looking to provide homely environment as it will help Prof. Bhullar recover faster from schizophrenia (depression).
It is notable that after his transfer to Amritsar, Prof. Davenderpal Singh Bhullar is undergoing medical treatment at the psychiatry ward of Guru Nanak Hospital. A team of psychiatrists headed by Dr. PD Garg is examining Prof. Bhullar on daily basis.
Besides giving some relaxation to Bibi Navneet Kaur by allowing her to spend more time with Prof. Bhullar, the Jail authorities have decided to allow only blood relatives to meet Prof. Bhullar. This decision has been taken due to rising number Panthik attendees tending to meet Prof. Bhullar. Others with specific reasons can urge the Amritsar Jail superintendent to meet Prof. Bhullar by satisfying him about the purpose of meeting.
