AMRITSAR SAHIB (February 25, 2015)—Activists of Sikh Youth Front today conducted an awareness campaign about the hunger strike of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa by distributing pamphlets to pilgrims outside Sri Harmandir Sahib. The activists remained peaceful as they displayed placards and posters to express support to the peaceful struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa for the permanent release of Sikh detainees.
Bhai Papalpreet Singh and Bhai Pritpal Singh jointly said that life of Bapu Surat Singh is full of sacrifices for Sikh nation. “Today at the age of 82, he has denied the luxury life of America and has started the peaceful war for the release of Sikh detainees.” They appealed to the entire Sikh nation to come forward in support of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.
Dr. Sharanjit Singh Rataul (President, Sikh Youth Front), Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khela (Sen. Vice President, SYF), Bhai Sukhdev Singh (Vice President, SYF), Bhai Shamsher Singh Koharhka, Bhai Dilbagh Singh Nagoke, Bhai Navdeep Singh, Bhai Harmeet Singh, and other activists were also helped raise awareness.
