When another such outfit named Shiv Sena (Sher-e-Punjab) was about to burn another effigy, a dozen of Singhs belonged to Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) reached there, foiling the plans of the right-wing terrorist organization.

A small scuffle broke out and the Singhs who restrained the Hindu fanatic elements from burning effigy, were arrested by the Police.

Outside Hall gate, around 20 activists of Hindu outfit namely Karan Sena burnt effigy of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and fled from there. After being informed of the incident, Damdami Taksal’s 7-8 Singhs led by Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala reached there. Meanwhile, they had received the news that at a different location, another Hindu organization’s activists had gathered to burn another effigy.  Singhs promptly rushed toward that spot, however police were already present there in large numbers to arrest the Singhs.
