(February 9, 2015)—Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa who is sitting on hunger strike since January 16 for the release of Sikh political prisoners, today declared his Panthik will in presence of topmost leaders of various Panthik organizations and his family members in the civil hospital where he was forcibly admitted by the Police on Sunday.

Bapu Khalsa’s will was disclosed publicly by Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh. He said that while talking with Panthik leaders, Bapu Surat Singh declared his Panthik will.

Declaring his will, Bapu Khalsa wished, on condition that his fast leads to his death, his native house situated at Hasanpur village be used for Panthik activities instead it be sold out. He wished body’s part be donated to needy and his dead body be taken to Damdami Taksal’s head quarter at Mehta as his Panthik life had started from there.

Kanwarpal Singh told Sikh24 that Bapu Ji has become very weak physically but mentally he is very strong.

Dal Khalsa president Harcharanjit Singh Dhami, Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) leader Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, Jasbir Singh Khandur, United Akali Dal leaders Bhai Mohkam Singh, Gurdeep Singh Bathinda and Bhai Damandeep Singh Khalsa who were present there, extended their support to the cause of Bapu Surat Singh and demanded immediate release of Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails of India despite completion of their terms.

The Panthik leaders separately resolved that Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda would negotiate with administration in this regard. They also decided to submit memorandum to center and state governments within next 24 hours.

Bapu ji’s both daughters and son were also there.
