Bhai Damandeep Singh with Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa in hospital
LUDHIANA, Punjab (February 9, 2015)—Punjab Police has taken Bupu Surat Singh Khalsa to civil hospital forcibly. Bapu ji has been on hunger strike since Jan 16.
Earlier this morning, a team of doctors from civil hospital insisted him to end the strike in view of his critical health condition. Despite his refusal to seek medical treatment, Ludhiana police picked him forcibly and took him to hospital.
Sikh24 was told by his aids that at the hospital, he fell in the bathroom that caused him injuries.
Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is on hunger strike for permanent release of Sikh political prisoners who have completed their imprisonment terms, but are languishing in various jails across India.
