SRI AMRITSAR, Punjab (December 16, 2014)—In October, the worldwide Sikh sangat was horrified to see a repeat of indiscriminate police firing, upon unarmed Sikhs who had gathered to protest against the Noormehal cult holding a blasphemous programme in Jodhpur.
Last week, the Sikh Relief team met with Amrik Singh Ajnala of Damdami Taksal, to discuss our deep felt concern and the distress caused to the Sikh nation, by the sacrilege of our Guru Granth Sahib Ji, during the arson attack that later took place at Jodhpur Gurdwara.
Sikh Relief conveyed our support and solidarity to those who were injured in the shooting on 28th October and we delegated Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala to distribute the financial aid provided by Sikh Relief, to all the men who were struck by police bullets and needed hospitalisation and further treatment for their injuries.
